We are a cafe with a social conscience

Based in the heart of the city centre, Moments Café offers a place to meet, eat and socialise. We are a social enterprise, where all our profits help to sustain Memory Matters, enabling us to provide support for people living with dementia as well as offering free services in our Hub upstairs.

The café boasts a colourful range of designs dating back to the 1950’s. The building was designed to spark conversation; therefore, we decided to create different eras, including the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Our customers can choose which time zone they would like to sit in whilst they enjoy a nice cup of coffee and reminisce. Here at Moments Café we offer a Buy it Forward system. This means customers have the option to buy an item of food or drink to donate to someone who is either homeless or less fortunate than themselves. Every month one of Plymouth’s street pastors will come and collect the vouchers and then go and distribute them around the city. People are then able to come into the café with their vouchers and redeem a hot meal free of charge.

We pride ourselves on good food made freshly on the premises. We like to make dishes that are familiar, hearty and delicious! All our food is sourced locally in Devon and Cornwall and we are always looking for new and exciting recipes. We like to cater to all our customers by including both vegan and vegetarian options on our menu, as well as providing a selection of sweet treats for everyone to enjoy. The café is wheelchair and pushchair friendly and we also have highchairs which are available to use. Customers can connect to our free Wi-Fi whilst they’re in the café .
